“Integrated Indian School” clasped the K-Tic’s Winner Trophy...

Kuwait Tamil Islamic Committee (K-Tic), a non-profit socio welfare organization of Tamil speaking Muslim community in Kuwait, (established in 2006 - registered with Indian Embassy of Kuwait and also with Administration of Grand Mosque, Kuwait Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs).

K-Tic has a impressive name among the socio-welfare organizations in Kuwait and Gulf countries whose benevolent works and enlightening activities and conserving Islamic uniqueness and also well known with the thousands of Indians especially all Tamil speaking people in Kuwait.

On the cool-breeze  evening of January 13, 2011 - Thursday,  K-Tic arranged dazzling “1st Inter-School Quiz Contest 2010-11”, first of its kind between the Indian Schools in Kuwait, at “Ibnu Seena” Auditorium at Masjid Al Kabeer (The Grand Mosque), Kuwait with a impressive title “Islam & Science and Heritage of Muslim World”.

The contest onset with Al-Quran verses by Master M.N. Abdul Latheef, followed by translation both in Tamil & English by Eng. B. Masuad Ahmed B.E.,. The program presided by Moulavee Ash-Shaikh M.S. Mohammed Meera Shah Fazil Baqaavee (President) and convened by Moulavee Afzalul Ulamaa Ash-Shaikh A.B. Khaleel Ahmed Baaqavee M.A., (General Secretary). Welcome address in Tamil by Al-Haaj H. Mohammed Nasar (Dy. Treasurer) and a short note on activities of K-Tic in English was presented by Al-Haaj A.K.S. Abdul Nazar B.A., (Dy. Gen. Secretary).

In the presence of our senior advisors Al-Haaj Delhi Batcha alias A. Abdul Kader (Bismillah Hotel, Fahaheel), Al-Haaj M. Bahseer Ahamed (Seematti Textiles, Mirqab), Janab S.N. Abdul Razack (Maharaja Textiles, Mirqab), the contest commenced with the introduction of Quiz Master Dr. M. Abdul Hameed M.Sc., M.Phil., B.Ed., PhD., (Secretary - Education Wing) by Mrs. A. Fairous Begum B.Sc., B.Ed., (Member - Education Wing) who herself was “Scorer” for the whole contest and Al-Haaj M. Zahir Hussain (Treasurer) as Time-Keeper.

For about twenty schools personal invitations were sent to participate their students in the contest. After reviewing the participated schools, thru Junior Group (5th - 7th Std) three schools and thru Senior Group (8th - 10th Std) four schools enter the Finals. Thru each school three students per group, totaling 21 students had tough competitions within their groups. The participated students were challenging all the questions thru five rounds per group, whether it is on Science or Islamic Heritage and scored superb points.

At finals, in Junior Group, Integrated Indian School (Jaleeb, Abbassiyah) came as Winner followed by Indian Educational School (Bharathia Vidhya Bahavan, Jaleeb, Abbassiyah) as Runner position. And, in Senior Group, Indian Public School (Salmiyah) came as Winner followed by Integrated Indian School (Jaleeb, Abbassiyah) as Runner position.

At school-level, “Integrated Indian School (Jaleeb, Abbassiyah)” clasped the Winner Trophy and “Indian Public School (Salmiyah)” grasped the Runner Trophy.

All these Winners & Runners got their respective Winner / Runner Mini-Cups & Certificates with a gift of Bundle of Books & Holy Quran. All participated students and correctly answered students of other schools / cheering group received “Participant Certificate”.

K-Tic President honored the Chief Guest from Masjid Al Kabeer Administration, Ash-Sheikh Ahamed Tharawi, Ash-Sheikh Mohammed Ali and Ash-Shaikh Abdul Mu'min. He also honored our respectable Guest of Honor Al-Haaj Ghalib Shihab Thangal (President of KKMC-Kannur Dist., Ex-Gen. Secretary of FIMA), the Quiz Master & the team, Kuwait Indian Schools Parent-Teacher Association prominent Al-Haaj Atheequr Rahman, MEPCO (Jeddah, Saudi Arabia)'s prominent Eng. Najmudheen Habeeb. These guest expressed their views of this 1st Quiz Contest arranged by K-Tic. Snacks were arranged and K-Tic thanked all the sponsors including Al-Marai and Kitco.

Vote of thanks by Al-Haaj M. Zahir Hussain (Treasurer) and Dua’a by Moulavee Afzalul Ulamaa Ash-Shaikh S. Abdul Quddus Hasani (Member, Jamathul Ulama Wing).
