IMA Youth Wing Failaka Trip

IMA Youth Wing organized a fun filled Eid Milan Failaka trip during Eid Holidays for its members. It was a wonderful outing for youth. The journey to the Island started by boarding the KPTC ferry from Ras Salmiya at 9:00 AM. The ferry sailed towards Failaka very smoothly. This was a unique experience for many as they were sailing for the first time.

Whilst the attendees were excited at being water borne, Breakfast was served to keep them ready for the Excitement waiting to unfold. Ferry took about one and a half hour to reach Failaka.

As soon as all members got down, they were made to gather at one place and Br. Ilyas gave brief instructions to all about Dos and Don’ts.

Members offered Friday prayer at nearby mosque, then had delicious Biryani from the Man-o-Salwa restaurant at the sea side. After lunch, It was time for Sports! Cricket and Volley ball matches were conducted among the teams from the participants.

Soon after the Sports event, all the participants were taken for a site seeing trip and the participants were taken aback at seeing the ruins of the Gulf War. Quite reluctantly everyone had to cut short the trip, as the return trip was scheduled at 3:30 PM, due to Sunset being quite early nowadays.

Winners of Volleyball and Cricket tournament will be awarded their Prizes and Trophies in the upcoming Youth Wing Public Program scheduled on Friday 18th November 2011 in Masjid Marzouk Al Bader, Maliya, Kuwait City.
