ILOA CELEBRATES MESMERIZING OPEN DAY FOR JUNIORS
LOA celebrated its maiden pen day for classes 2 and 3 with festive fervour in a frolicsome atmosphere. The juniors put up a zealous and unique show comprising of varied cultural activities that revealed the immense potential they could showcase under the guidance of their industrious teachers. The young students wove the evening into a magnificent tapestry passing on a legacy of rhythm and melody as they left the audience spellbound with a grand performance and mesmerizing symphony.
The hall was full to capacity with distinguished guests like the school sponser Sheik Omar Al Gurair, Jabriya Indian School Principal Dr. Shobha Vaddadhi, Chairman of the school Mr. D.K Sharma and the school’s all time strength and support, the vibrant parents who were overjoyed with the impeccable performance of the exuberant children. The commencement of the event with the recitation of the Holy Quran followed by Kuwait and Indian National Anthems instilled devotion and patriotism in the audience. The beautiful welcome song accompanied by the fantastic orchestra team added a lot to make the function a great gala.
Principal Mrs. Sharma addressed the august gathering and presented the school report. She extolled the managements’ efforts to nurture and nourish the students with value based education for their all round development right from the inception of the school. She added that teachers played a pivoted role in the development of the institution.
Lighting of the lamp by the chief guest was explicitly a portrayal of the domination of light over darkness and good over evil. Dr. Shobha Vaddadhi, the chief guest appreciated the team spirit of the management, Principal, teachers and the students which played a vital role in taking the school to the summit of success in the blink of an eye. She was full of appreciation for the international level of teaching and learning aids provided in the school. She added that there is no school at present in Kuwait that can be put at par with LOA. The schools’ name itself suggests its sublimity. The ensuing highlight of the programme was the felicitation to the students for excellence in both curricular and extracurricular activities.
Kids’ performance of an action song “Boogie Woogie” was well received and was thoroughly delightful. The “Earth Song” was also an elevating item that evoked spontaneous applause from the audience. Tamil Folk dance was a superb performance by the charming kids donning the ethnic costumes.
Actors and actresses who participated in the English skit had proved that they are no less than adults. Thiruvadira, Oppana and Hariyanvi reflected rainbow varied culture and folk dances of our country. The energetic and confident anchors who adopted a professional style in their oration added flavour to the fiesta.
The elated parents left the school recollecting their precious kids exhibiting their talents which went beyond entertainment when it stressed on the fact that music and dance in our soul never flickers, never dies.
