Hazare's agitation will benefit future generations: Ramdev
New Delhi, Aug 24 (IANS) Yoga guru Baba Ramdev Wednesday said Anna Hazare's indefinite fast against corruption would benefit the whole country, especially the future generations.
"Hazare's fast will benefit the whole country and the future generations," Ramdev said at Ramlila Maidan where he visited the social activist on the ninth day of his fast to demand a stronger Lokpal Bill.
"Even after fasting for so many days, his enthusiasm and spirit are a source of inspiration for the youth of this country and we all pray for his wellbeing," the yoga guru said.
He said a special 'yagya' (religious ceremony) was organised at his ashram Patanjali Yogpeeth in Haridwar for Hazare's health and wellbeing.
"Eradicating corruption is important but equally important is the existence of Anna Hazare-ji among us because this fight against corruption starts from the Jan Lokpal bill," Ramdev said.
"There is a need to bring about a revolution in this country."
Taking a dig at Delhi Police, the yoga guru said: "I won't speak much because when some people agitated here a few days ago, they were awarded with batons and bullets."
Delhi Police had in June forcefully evicted Ramdev and his supporters from the same Ramlila ground when they were agitating against corruption and black money stashed abroad.
