Gujarat wants Indian Reserve Battalion, Delhi says no
New Delhi, Aug 9 (IANS) Gujarat wants three Indian Reserve Battalions but the central government has ruled it out.
"At present, there is no proposal to create more IR Battalions," Minister of State for Home Jitendra Singh told the Lok Sabha Tuesday.
He said in a statement that the Gujarat government wanted one battalion each in the districts of Ahmedabad, Junagardh and Valsad.
