Gold has always been called the yellow metal that shines. There is also the saying that all that glitters is not gold. Yes gold is a precious commodity. It was once a necessity for people specially ladies to beautify themselves.

We get gold in the market, by purchasing or selling from a gold shop. But have we ever taught how & where does his gold come from ? In many countries there are Gold minies while in others they find them in low water areas. But the people employed there have tough times. These companies also employ child labours. The employees are monitored contionously & many a times beaten.

Due to the recession & a weak dollar the price of gold has gone up. Today people are investing in gold as a safe heaven as market are no more a safe place. Many banks & investment companies have come out with many schemes related to gold. Exchange companies also give out gold gifts to the lucky winner who remitts money to his/her home country. Children milk powder have also come out with such scheme to promote themselves.

Many people say they don't like gold but they buy & keep it. Due to the increase in gold price people escpecially the newly weds find it difficult to purchase gold. Sometimes it is difficult to give their daughters more gold due to their financial situation as all other preparation for a wedding is also expensive.

Today we have paper gold. That is buying gold as a share in the market. It protects you from robbers or chain snatchers. Recently a chinese companies has come out with a gold vending machine just like an atm it gives you gold coins. May be in the coming years you will find them all over the world.

Is the gold rush stiill there or is it over ? Nobody really knows. But investment companies are taking advantage of this situation.
