Hisar (Haryana), June 14 (IANS) In yet another case of honour killing, a middle-aged man here murdered his 18-year-old daughter as he opposed her relationship with a boy of the same village, police said Tuesday.

 
 Rameshwar Singh killed his daughter Ritu in Umra village of this district June 12.
 
 "Rameshwar killed his daughter on Sunday night. In a bid to misguide people, he cremated her body early Monday and did not inform his neighbours or relatives. He said that his daughter had died of sickness," Hisar's Deputy Superintendent of Police Amrik Singh said.
 
 "We had received a complaint from Ajit Singh, Rameshwar’s neighbour. Following this we questioned Rameshwar. He was unable to give any satisfactory statement and was continuously changing his version.
 
 "He later confessed his crime. He said he was unhappy over his daughter’s relationship," he added.
 
 Rameshwar has been booked under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
