Congress-DMK relations good, says Azad
New Delhi, May 6 (IANS) Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad Friday said naming of DMK MP Kanimozhi as a co-accused in 2G spectrum allocation case will cause no threat to the Congress' alliance with the southern party.
“Relations are good and will remain good with DMK,” Azad, who is in-charge of Congress party affairs in Tamil Nadu, told reporters on the sidelines of an event.
He, however, evaded any comment on the possible arrest of Kanimozhi. “What possible arrest...?” he said.
Kanimozhi Friday appeared before a special Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court in connection with 2G spectrum allotment scandal.
Managing director of Kalaignar TV Sharad Kumar also appeared in court. Several DMK MPs were present in the court at Patiala House complex.
Kanimozhi, who is Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi's daughter, and Kumar are among those named in the second charge sheet by the CBI.
