Chidambaram on vacation in Kerala
Thekkady, Oct 2 (IANS) Taking a break after a tough week, Home Minister P.Chidambaram is spending a quiet holiday along with his family at Kerala's Thekkady resort.
Flying into Madurai from Delhi, the home minister and his family drove to Thekkady Saturday, sources said.
Chidambaram is accompanied by his wife, his son and daughter-in-law and their daughter.
They are staying at the Spice Village Resort owned by the CGH (Casino Group of Hotels) Earth.
Since it is a private visit, CGH Earth chief Jose Dominic declined to reveal any details.
The Chidambaram family also went around the Periyar wild reserve.
They are scheduled to leave for Madurai Monday morning.
Chidambaram's resignation was demanded by the opposition after a finance ministry note to the Prime Minister's Office said he could have stopped the 2G scam in 2008, when he was finance minister, by insisting on an auction.
