BJP chief ministers should declare assets: Jogi
Raipur, Aug 9 (IANS) Congress leader Ajit Jogi said Tuesday that chief ministers and ministers of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-ruled states should "follow the trend set by the president and the prime minister" and declare their assets.
"The chief ministers and ministers of the BJP-ruled states should follow the trend set by the president of India, the prime minister and union ministers, and should make their assets public to bolster democracy and the country's image," the former Chhattisgarh chief minister said in a statement.
He alleged that ministers and bureaucrats in the BJP-ruled Chhattisgarh have accumulated property disproportionate to their known sources of income and that they should clear the confusion by making public details of their wealth.
