ATM-robbing teenager rearrested
Bhopal, June 24 (IANS) Police in Madhya Pradesh's Indore city Friday rearrested a teenager who had looted Rs.29.88 lakh from an ATM there two months back. Most of the cash has been recovered
The 18-year-old, a resident of Chhapra in Bihar, had entered an ATM of State Bank of India's University Branch in Indore through a window May 7, took apart the machine and escaped with the booty to Bihar.
The accused was identified by the police with the help of CCTV footage and a reward of Rs.10,000 was announced for his arrest.
Police had arrested him from Bihar and brought him back to Indore but he escaped from police custody on May 29.
"While running away, his leg had got fractured and he was under treatment in Indore. Soon a police team nabbed him," Senior Superintendent of Police Pawan Srivastava told reporters.
Indore is around 180 km from Bhopal.
