Association of Indian Professionals (AIP) HONOURS MERITORIOUS STUDENTS
Association of Indian Professionals (AIP) organized a grand function on December 29, 2011 at the Indian Community School, Salmiya to felicitate the meritorious Indian students of class X and XII. Awardees were selected based on the CBSE examination results declared for the academic year 2010 - 2011 from all Indian Schools in Kuwait affiliated to the CBSE, India. His Excellency, the Ambassador of India to Kuwait, Mr. Satish C. Mehta was the Chief Guest whereas prominent businessman, Mr. Kuldeep Singh Lamba and Chairman of Indian Business Council, Kuwait, Mr. S. Kumar Wadhawan, Resident Manager of Oriental Insurance Co. Ltd., Mr. Anil Parasher and Mr. Ashok Kalra, Chairman of Board of Trustees of Indian Community School, Kuwait were the Guests of Honour. Toyo Tires of Al-Mailem Group of Companies were the main sponsor whereas Oriental Insurance Co. Ltd were the co-sponsor of this program.
The event was organized in two sessions; ‘Meet your seniors program’ was followed by the second session of ‘AIP Awards distribution’. 'Meet your seniors' program was conducted by Dr. TS Srikumar and was well attended by many senior students currently pursuing higher education in US, Canada, UK, Australia and India. This program provided an excellent opportunity for students and their parents to interact with the senior students and rendered very useful information about careers and institution options.
General Secretary of AIP, Mr. Umesh Sharma welcomed the guests and audience. He highlighted that the AIP Awards have now become the symbol of Excellence. Mr. Sharma extended his appreciation and thanks to all the principals of Indian Schools in Kuwait who rendered information for the selection of medal/certificate awardees.
The chairman of AIP, Dr. C.G. Suresh thanked the Chief Guest and Guests of honour for their valuable time and cooperation. He appreciated the support of all the sponsors and requested the audience to join AIP to serve the Indian community on a wider platform. He also thanked all EC members of AIP Dr. Srikumar, Dr. Kamlesh, Mr. Anil Parasher, Mr. Jagdish Joshi, Mr. Murali Manohar, Mr. Umesh Shahani & Mr. Umesh Sharma for their efficient efforts in coordinating the event.
HE, Mr. Satish C. Mehta, Mr. Abhay Chaturvedi - representative of Al-Mailem Group of Companies, Mr. S.K.Wadhawan, Mr. Ashok Kalra, Mr. Anil Parasher, Dr. CG Suresh, Mr. Umesh Sharma distributed medals and certificates. Ajish Sam John, Noora Khan, Sneha Ann John, Divya Joseph, Naina Parasher, Dwaipayan B., Shweta Ravindran, Ahmed Kazi, Karunya VS and Divya Mahadevan compered the awards distribution ceremony.
Fahaheel Al-Watanieh Indian Private School-FAIPS (DPS) was adjudged as the best school in both the classes i.e. class X and class XII as the Best Performing School. The rolling trophy and memento were presented by Dr. C.G.Suresh. Vote of thanks was presented by Mr. Jagdish Joshi.
