The Social activist in a recent press conference said, if the Indian citizens are dead against the FDI policy, then why the government is insisting. He said previously the British arrived in India with the intention to trade here, and then they slowly enslaved and ruled us for 150 years, the history will repeat again. FDI is sure to enslave India.

Mr.Hazare further added that the water and the surroundings will get spoiled by the foreign investors. He asked the government to consider these crucial issues.

Mr Hazare commented on the government's claim that the FDI policy will benefit the farmers; he said if it is true then since independence, in the past 65 years the countless suicidal deaths should not have happened to the farmers.

The social activist was in favor of political parties’ unity on the FDI matter. He asked all the political parties should sink the narrow differences, and stand united on this issue.
