Alleygators Stop Whiplash, No Strikes !!! topple Spare Us & Kegler Strikers enter the Championship Group
Kuwait : 28th October. Without sweating the Kuwait Federation team easily secured their position on the top 4 of the Championship Group with Al Qwassem following them. The time masters of the West End Watches Co. dropping down into the Intermediate Group and Kegler Strikers racing up to 4th place. In line to get into the top 4 were Petrolink and Fire Fly. While the Intermediate Group remains unstable with teams moving up to the top 4 and dropping back down by a slim margin of point difference, another five weeks remain to determine THE KING PINS. The Greenie Group seems to be at a slow pace with most of the bowlers at equal strengths at the beginner level except for a couple of teams who had a bad start.
In the 10th week, everything was falling into place for the Kuwait Federation title quest. And with no serious threat in sight, the Kuwait Federation Team went on to win the title by cruising past the Pin Pointers with 2378-2296 victory. In game one, Game two and Game Three The Kuwait Federation Team whizzed pass through the Pin Pointers with a 770-768, 829-780 & 779-748 win. All though the Pin Pointers almost came close to a win in Game one & Game three they couldn’t pull this one off. Pin Pointers were manned by Alfred Avila, Joe Presenta, Lito Michael, Rocky Castil, Rudy Delima, Fe Ferrer & Dan Montano. The Lane Masters of the Kuwait Federation Team was led by Andrew Frawley, Moustafa Mousawi, Salem Hajras & Basil Anaizi.
In a surprising match Alleygators brushed aside the lane pin busters of Whiplash 2228-2132. To book this victory, the collective efforts of Jason D’Souza, Samantha Fernandes, Gloyne Fernandes & Merlyn Fernandes helped Alleygators turn back Whiplash in game one and two 716-710 and 760-640. In game three Whiplash made some adjustments to their lineup of Aga Cuadrazal, Rico Baluyot, Michelle Avila, Aldin Avila & Vernie Vilaruel, tried their best to turn things around but their 782-752 win was not enough to deny Alleygators the victory they deserve.
With the Champion Group in sight, Mahdi Boushery, Abdullah Khalid, Mohammed Ashour, Abdul Aziz Aslawi & Mohannad Ebrahim of Petrolink coasted home to a convincing 2623-2175 victory and earning the Team High of the Week and of the tournament. After clobbering the Street Bowlers Team whose best strategy didn’t seem to work no matter whatever effort they put in. The upset Street Bowlers Team went home disappointed with their crew of Amaldo Fernandes, Julian D’Silva, Celine Fernandes & Domnic Picardo.
Solo Sorisso (Just Smile) outscored the time masters of West End Watches Co. team 2608-2478 win trying to secure their position in the top 4. Despite Mousa Abdullah’s high scores 200/224/210 still not enough to lift his West End Watches Co. team to join the “top 4”. Mousa Abdullah was supported by Ahmad Sultan, Lloyd Fernandes, Rudolph Castelino, Nelson D’Souza & Caloy Garay. Solo Sorisso high scorers were Abdullah Behbehani, Ibrahim Al Jaddi, Nawaf Al Hassan & Hamoud Al-Rashed who garnered all 40 points .
In game one of the match between Spare Us and No Strikes !!, Spare Us came in like a unstoppable charging bull with Anthony King, Colin Costa, Bala Subramanyam, Valentine Gonsalves & Ansley Jeremiah with a 852-731 victory over No Strikes !!! With a change in line up and No Strikes !!! adjusting to the lane condition the dynamic duo of Anastasius Menezes & Joel Fernandes halted the advanced bowlers of Spare Us like an engine that ran out of gas, Spare Us scoring machine suddenly choked and stopped enabling No Strikes !!! to win after posting an 850-827 & 818-718 win in game two and three. With the taste of victory finally back, No Strikes !! crew of Christine D’Souza, Fatima Sequeira & Ulysses Menezes closed out the match with a 2399-2397 winning the overall by just 3 pins.
Moving on to the much awaited lane action for the Kegler Strikers and more advanced Bowlers as they wasted no time to unseat iBowl and beating them showing no mercy with a 2439-2034 victory. Carrying the scoring load for the Kegler Strikers in this winning outing were Al Belarmino, Bobby Ferrera, Ed Mendoza, Jr Sabado & Joe White. Off to flying start Kegler Strikers made it finally into the Championship Group. The new comers to the bowling scene iBowl Team was lead by Kamran Shaikh, Ramona Soares, Cleona D’Souza, Sameera Shaikh & Roy Vaz.

The Team efforts of the seasoned bowler of Ali Boulishi, Fahad Abul, Fahad Rughaib & Yacob Shatti flew across like a jet engine in game one and two with 918-771 & 903-727 win. In game three Amaya quintet of Rey Ualat, Raine Ualat, Marj Mercado, Blanca Mercado & Lito Mercado put in a last ditch effort to turn things around but their 780-728 win wasn’t enough to take them through.

Followed with another favorable win by Fire Fly in game two and game three with a score of 926-789 & 828-725. Bowling for Fire Fly were Lee Mills, Nourie Amiri, Nasha King & Jassim Darwish.
