Baghdad, Aug 29 (IANS) Twenty-eight people were killed and 40 others were injured when a suicide blast tore through a mosque in western Baghdad Sunday, Xinhua reported.


The suicide bomber detonated his explosives in Umm al-Qura mosque during prayers Sunday evening, police said.

The victims included children.

The security forces have cordoned off area.
