Temperatures continue to rise and will peak by the middle of this month. This will be followed by a heat wave and temperatures will continue to rise till the second week of September.
In a press release issued by Director of Weather Department at Marzam Observatory Khalid Abdullah Al-Jama'an, he said that he expects temperature to noticeably increase marking the beginning of the summer from June 21. On that day, the sun rays will be semi-vertical over Kuwait, temperature will increase and daylight will last for 14 hours and two minutes while nighttime will last for 9 hours and 58 minutes. He added that Kuwait witnesses the highest temperature during the months of July and August between 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Temperatures are expected to average between 44-46 degrees Celsius and the average temperature in the evening will be between 30 -35 degrees Celsius. There are chances for hanging dust especially in open areas due to high temperatures and heat that lifts sand in the air, but visibility will be good during daytime. |
