Technical Dept. considers establishing solar energy project by 2012 |

The Technical Department for Projects and Initiatives Studies said on Wednesday that it has reviewed several technical and economical studies regarding the establishment of a project utilizing solar energy in the country with a production power capacity reaching 250 megawatt.
The Advisor of the Technical Department Dr. Hashim Al-Tabtabaei said in a press statement that the project was reviewed with members of the Kuwaiti Accountants and Auditors Society, noting that the project was based on an initiative presented by a Japanese company with a value sum of KD 250 million. Al-Tabtabaei said that his department began coordination with the Kuwaiti municipality to determine the location of the project, including preparation for technical and economic studies. |
