New system regarding the vehicles - Kuwait |

KUWAIT: At the beginning of 2011, the General Traffic Department will apply a new system regarding the vehicles, which have licenses that have not been renewed for a long time ago.
Security sources said that the new system will prevent the car owners, who did not renew the licenses of their cars from completing any paper work at any government sector before the renewal of the licenses. They added that the General Traffic Department will drop these cars from its system and hence their owners will not be able to renew them. The sources said that number of cars, which their licenses have not been renewed, has reached more than 200,000 cars. The General Traffic Department managed to reduce this number to 102,000 cars, adding that this number will be reduced further by applying the new system. Meanwhile, security sources said that the General Traffic Department referred145, 000 citations to the Traffic Court upon the request of the cars' owners. They explained that the citations will not be cancelled before the issuance of court orders in this regard. |
