Urad daal ________________________________________ cup ______ 1 cumin ________________________________________ tbsp ________________________________________ 1 ________________________________________ curry leaves ________________________________________ leaf ________________________________________ 5 ________________________________________ Dahi (yogurt) ________________________________________ ml ________________________________________ 500 ________________________________________ Finely chopped coriander leaves ________________________________________ bunch ________________________________________ 1 ________________________________________ green chilies chopped ________________________________________ number ________________________________________ 1-2 ________________________________________ hing ________________________________________ to taste ________________________________________ ________________________________________ Oil ________________________________________ to fry ________________________________________ ________________________________________ Red chili ________________________________________ piece ________________________________________ 2 ________________________________________ Salt ________________________________________ to taste ________________________________________ 1 HOW TO MAKE DAHI WADA • For vada - Clean, wash and soak the daal overnight. • Grind it into smooth paste. • Add salt to taste. • Heat oil in a pan and drop a spoonfuls of batter and fry till golden brown as shown. • Take the hot vadas and put in cold water for 2-3 minutes. • Now Take them out of water and squeeze the water and keep aside. • For Dahi -add cumin , gr chilli,coriander leaves • blend and add to yougurt and season • Serving - In a deep dish arrange wada and pour dahi over them. • Garnish with tempering as shown • Serve the dahi vadas chilled. by Pooja |
