Chicken Masala
Ingredients: 1 medium chicken, cut into big pieces ¾ cup beaten curd 1 tsp garam masala 8 red chillies 2 tsp cumin seeds 4 tsp coriander seeds 2 tsp ginger and garlic paste 1 onion chopped 3 tbsp ghee ½ tsp turmeric powder 3 onions, sliced fine, fried crisp and crushed Salt to taste Method: Grind the following to paste: red chillies, corinader, cumin, one chopped onion and turmeric. To the beaten curd add the ginger-garlic paste, crushed onion and salt to taste. Set aside. Heat the ghee and then add the masala paste and fry till the ghee separates. Add the chicken and cook till dry. Add garam masala and 1 ½ cups warm water, and cook till the chicken is tender. Serve hot. |
