Besan puri
Servings : 4 Time Taken : 15-30 minsIngredients: 1 cup - wheat flour 1 cup - besan (Bengal gram dal powder) 2 tsp - sesame 2 tsp - jeera 2 tsp - ajwainv 2 tsp - curd 2 tsp - red chilli powder 2 tsp - coriander leaves pinch of turmeric salt to taste and oil for frying Take 1 cup wheat flour, add salt as per your requirement. Add 2 tsp oil and enough water to make a dough as you make for chappatis and keep aside. Now take 1 cup of besan in a bowl, add seasame, chilli powder, jeera, ajwain, salt, coriander leaves and yogurt. Make a dough with very little water. Make small puris of the wheat flour dough, stuff with the besan filling and roll into make puris. Fry till brown in colour. Serve with yogurt or pickle. Children will love this puri. Mushroom Pakoras Servings : 4 Time Taken : 15-30 mins Rating : Add to Favs Method Mix the gram flour and cornflour well. Add enough water to mix and make a thick batter. Mix in all the ingredients. Add the soda bi-carb into the oil and deep fry. Serve hot with tomato ketchup. Ingredients: 1/2 cup - gram flour (besan) 1/4 cup - cornflour 1 cup - sliced mushrooms 1/2 cup - finely slices onions 1/4 cup - finely sliced green capsicum 1/4 cup - grated cheddar cheese 2 - green chillies, chpped 1/2 tsp - coriander powder 1/2 tsp - cumin powder 1 tsp - red chilli powder 1/4 tsp - kasoori methi (fenugreek ) dried a pinch - soda bi-carb, water salt and pepper to taste |
